Easy Nutty Chocolate Bark

I have been wanting to make this recipe for some time now and finally got to do it. When I buy commercial chocolates, I always look for those with nuts because I love chocolate with nuts. But I get so disappointed when the nuts are so scarce in the chocolate. So, when I made this recipe, I made sure to put lots of roasted nuts into the chocolate and voila, it became the perfect guilt free snack for me and this coming festive season. This nutty chocolate bark is so easy to make and so addictive.

1.  For best results, weigh the ingredients with a digital scale.

2.  Chop the chocolate bars into small pieces so that it is quicker to melt. Then place in a microwave safe bowl and microwave for 60 seconds. Remove and mix with a spatula until the chocolate is completely melted, thick and smooth.

3.  Reserve a bit of the roasted nuts for topping. Then pour the melted chocolate over the roasted nuts and mix until well combined.

4.  Pour the mixture onto a baking tray or any suitable plates lined with parchment paper. Spread evenly into a single layer.

5.  Top with the reserved nuts and sprinkle with some coarse sea salt (optional).

6.  Chill in the fridge for at least 1 hour or until hardened.

7.  You can break the chocolate apart with your hands or cut them into smaller pieces.

8.  This recipe makes about 24 servings if you cut them into small squares.

9.  For mess-free eating, wrap them individually with chocolate wrappers. If you choose the red and green wrappers, they will look festive, too.

10.  Keep the chocolate chilled in the fridge for up to 3 months or frozen for up to 6 months or longer.

Dark chocolate = 200 g (Sweetened or unsweetened is fine. In the video, I used a dark chocolate that has been sweetened with stevia, but it is mildly sweet only.)

Combo of roasted nuts (Make sure that these nuts are roasted until fragrant and crispy. You can also use any nuts of your choice):

Almonds = 100 g

Walnuts = 50 g

Pistachios = 50 g

Some coarse sea salt for sprinkling (optional)
